Mill’D was born not in a boardroom…
Two friends, each with a different story, came together over a simple meal and a powerful realisation: India is facing a silent crisis of protein deficiency. And it’s affecting everyone from recovering patients to growing children, fitness enthusiasts to traditional food lovers.
A unicorn founder and serial entrepreneur, he had always been a fitness enthusiast deeply mindful of his protein intake. Yet, he was constantly frustrated by the lack of clean, affordable options. Why should staying fit mean depending on expensive supplements or artificial powders? He loved his traditional meals, especially rotis and didn’t want to change his way of eating. Determined to find a better answer, he experimented tirelessly, testing ingredients and formulations himself until he discovered a way to create a roti rich in protein, without compromising taste or tradition. He envisioned a solution that could respect India’s culture while redefining its nutrition.
The other friend a serial entrepreneur and founder of the tofu brand Briyas had just survived a life-changing accident, a moment that transformed recovery into revelation. As he worked to rebuild his strength and muscle, he experienced firsthand the true power of protein. From his hospital bed, he realized how the right nutrition could heal, empower, and transform lives and how millions of Indians were silently deprived of this essential foundation of health. For him, it was no longer just about recovery; it became a mission of prevention, growth, and lasting strength.
Together, they asked a simple question:
